Jaco Roestoff (BLC LLB)

Jaco has 21 years of experience as a practicing lawyer. His main areas of expertise include commercial law and litigation, regulation law with a particular emphasis on the pharmaceutical industry, competition law, insolvency law, as well as his involvement in the facilitation and negotiation of varying commercial transactions. Jaco has also lectured at the University of Pretoria, specialising in the fields of commercial and competition law.


Robert Kruse (BA LLB)

Robert has 28 years of experience as a practicing lawyer. His main areas of expertise and interest are commercial and corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, competition law, as well as commercial litigation and arbitration. During his career Robert has conducted many prominent competition law cases, as well as a large number of commercial trials and arbitration hearings.


Malcolm Ratz (BA LLB LLM)

Malcolm completed his LLM in 2007 at Stellenbosch University, where he specialised in intellectual property law. Since joining Roestoff and Kruse Attorneys in 2008, he has been actively involved in the competition law department. He is currently completing his doctorate in competition law on a part time basis through the University of Pretoria. Malcolm was made partner in March 2012.


Freddie van Niekerk (B.PROK LLB)

Freddie is a Senior Associate with Roestoff and Kruse Attorneys and is an admitted and practicing Notary and Conveyancer. His fields of expertise include property law, contract law, conveyancing, notarial practice and the administration of estates.



Maryne van der Merwe (BLC LLB)

Maryne joined Roestoff and Kruse in 2009 as Associate and is an admitted notary and conveyancer. Maryne specialises in commercial and civil litigation, contract law, insolvency law and family law.



Giselle Du Rand (LLB)

Giselle completed her LLB at the University of Pretoria before joining Roestoff and Kruse in 2010. She has been actively involved in the litigation department since then and has a keen interest in consumer legislation such as the Consumer Protection Act.
